The FX is Shimano's new entry-level spinning rod. It features a strong XT30+GLASS blank with versatile all-round fishing and casting action that pairs seamlessly with the 19FX reel. Perfect for anglers just starting out. XT Carbon is used throughout the Shimano rod range. The number following XT (XT100) indicates the quality of carbon fibre — higher numbers mean stronger carbon. When different carbon types combine to create the required action, both numbers appear (XT60/40). Shimano Stainless Steel Hardlite Guides combine lightweight yet robust anodised steel frames with Aluminum Oxide liners, delivering the ideal balance of strength and performance without compromise.
