It all started with the yellowtail amberjack in the Genkai Sea. The SPY was tuned to match the pattern of luring the fish up over 10m and then letting them bite on the fall. As we continued testing, we unexpectedly found that slow pitch jerks and long fall jerks were effective not only for bluefish but also for bottom fish, which led to its commercialization. In particular, the 250g model for shallow waters and the 600g model for deep waters are great for approaching big and monster-class fish. The SPY and SPY-V are similar but not the same, and the difference between their characteristics will be more noticeable to those who have a deeper understanding of slow pitch jerks. But of course, the concept of "anyone can easily catch fish" remains the same for the SPY-V.
